“We are so thankful
for the fellowship we’ve found at St. John’s.”

Our Vision

Our vision is rather simple yet far-reaching: to reach as many people as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In its simplist form our vison is “to Know Christ and to make him known to the world.”

We are a confessional, Bible-believing church, capable of training people to be disciples of Christ and showing the world the way of salvation found in Christ Jesus alone.

We believe that we offer what you will rarely find in today’s churches - a clear trumpet call and witness to the truth of the Holy Scriptures. We reject the so-called “historical-critical” method of Bible interpretation, which treats the Bible as just another book written by people describing their concept of God. We hold to the “historical-grammatical” method, which believes that God has acted in history, has revealed his mind and thoughts in the words of the Holy Bible, and has made himself known especially through the words and works of his own Son, Jesus Christ. Our task as theologians and students of the Scriptures is to study the sacred texts (the historical and grammatical meaning) and to come to a correct understanding of God’s will for us and our salvation.

As confessional Lutherans we do not offer a smorgasbord of teaching from which you can choose. We are not a vast supermarket of religion where you can find whatever you’re looking for. Rather we bring to you the certainty of “This is what the Lord says.” Come, walk with us and we will teach you the word and will of the Lord.
