Back To School

St. John’s Lutheran School will begin its 93^rd school year on August 23, 2006. Our opening chapel service will begin at 8:30 am on that day. Parents are asked to sit with their children during the service. Following the service, the children will go with their teacher to the classroom. School will dismiss on this first day at noon.

Registration

All families need to register their childen in advance of the first day of school. We have scheduled this year’s registration times for Sunday, July 31, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm & Monday, August 1, 5:00-7:00 pm. Parents will need to provide an emergency contact number, pay registration fees, and enroll in a tuition payment plan if they cannot pay the entire amount at the time of registration. The religious books your children will need (Bible, hymnal, catechism) will be offered for sale at this time. All other textbooks are provided and paid for through the registration fees. You will need to bring the following forms to registration (mailed out in June):

1. Registration Emergency Form (Tan), K-8 students
2. Registration Cost Form (Pink), Pre-K-8 students
3. Health forms (Green), all students new to St. John’s
4. Sports physicals (Green), grades 5-8, if participating in any sport
5. Completed enrollment forms for SMART (Tuition payment program)

We also request every family to volunteer to help with school activities during the year. Information and sign-up sheets will be available at registration.

Other information that you will need for the school year will be available also. This includes a copy of our school calendar, school handbook, singing schedule, information on our sports programs, etc.
