Ladies Aid Society
As a service organization, the Ladies Aid supports the ministry objectives of the congregation. Since 1912 our Ladies Aid has continuously offered its services for congregational dinners, funeral and wedding dinners, outreach to the sick and hospitalized, and support of the newly baptized.
The ladies meet once each month for fellowship and instruction in Bible teaching, and to conduct its business. In the past the ladies have furnished our kitchen, purchased tables and chairs for use by the congregation, supported mission work with their offerings, and given their encouragement to our pastors and teachers.
A small but active group within the Ladies Aid is a Quilter’s Group which makes quilts and blankets for the newly baptized and for purchase by others in the congregation.
The ladies also are active participants in our local chapter of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society (LWMS), which supports mission work around the world. Most notably, they fund the African Medical Mission, which provides medical assistance to the people of Zambia and Malawi, Africa in conjunction with our missionaries in those countries.
The Ladies Aid actively seeks support from many of the ladies of our congregation. If you would like to help, please contact our Ladies Aid chairman by means of our email page.
