Lutheran High School

     St. John’s is a member of the association that supports and governs Huron Valley Lutheran High School (HVL). HVL was founded in 1974 by a number of families concrned about Christian education on a secondary (high school) level. Members of St. John’s played a pivotal role in its founding and our church willingly shared its school facilities with the High School in its early years.

     HVL continues to serve those interested in a Christian high school education. It is now located on Cowan Road in Westland, just a few blocks from the Westland Mall (Warren Road).

   In addition to HVL, our church body (WELS) operates two pre-ministerial preparatory high schools. Both have dormatories for housing students whose homes are outside of the area.
